Renovation

May 17, 2011

The first floor’s high-ceilinged interior was remodeled with the intention of preserving some of the building’s unique historic features. The renovation added a modern touch to the former auto warehouse’s open space. That included the restoration of a twenty-foot-high ladder/shelving apparatus, refurbishment of the original timber floors, and transformation of an enormous old safe vault into a small bar. The finicky, original freight elevator was kept, but unfortunately its unreliable nature has finally bested its Flapper-era charm; it will be replaced before the end of 2018.
