Leasing Consultant

Join our team as a Leasing Consultant, where you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional living experiences for our Capitol Hill communities! As the first point of contact for prospective tenants, you will showcase our beautifully designed properties, and foster a welcoming community within our buildings.

Job Type: Full-Time | Pay: $22 – $26 per hour | Start Date: ASAP | Schedule: Tues-Sat, 8 AM – 5 PM | Work Location: In person

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving resident concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Conduct engaging property tours, highlighting available units and amenities.
  • Navigate prospects and residents through the leasing process, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Enhance community engagement creatively, hosting monthly events and developing relationships with current and prospective residents.
  • Design and develop compelling marketing materials for events, available apartments, and resident engagement campaigns.
  • Utilize AppFolio and other property management tools to track applications, leases, and tenant communications.
  • Communicates professionally with service vendors to ensure adequate scheduling in occupied residences or common areas.

Experience (Required):

  • Positive, upbeat attitude. Professional and friendly demeanor, both on the phone and in person.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be customer-driven with the ability to build relationships, resolve concerns, and enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Self-disciplined, initiative-taking, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Perform essential administrative tasks, including filing, record-keeping, and data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook without assistance.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Strong professional references.

Experience (Preferred):

  • Experience performing administrative tasks related to operations, including filing, record keeping, and data entry.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and legal administrative processes related to real estate.
  • Experience working with AppFolio, DoorKing, Canva, Social Media platforms, Online Marketplaces, SharePoint, ILS platforms, and Web development services

Real Estate Office Manager

The Office Manager will serve as the primary contact for these important community elements and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of commercial leases. This role also involves supporting team members with various administrative and accounting duties related to real estate brokerage and property management, all while ensuring the smooth operation of the office.

Job Type: Full-Time | Pay: $60,000 – $70,000 per year | Start Date: Mid-March | Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM | Work Location: In person

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Must be self-disciplined, self-motivated, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be team-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced, small entrepreneurial office environment.

Property Management (60%)

Responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with all commercial tenants.
  • Receiving and distributing tenant correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate and updated commercial tenant files (both paper and electronic).
  • Coordinating maintenance, including attending regular building inspections, and facilitating communication between tenants and vendors.
  • Obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating bids for work.
  • Retrieving building security footage.
  • Managing parking garage operations.
  • Activating building access for tenants and assisting with callbox troubleshooting.
  • Preparing move-in documents.
  • Drafting leases.
  • Scheduling and attending property tours.
  • Marketing available commercial spaces.
  • Screening potential commercial tenants

General Office Administration (35%)

Responsibilities include:

  • Opening the office each morning and greeting all visitors in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Maintaining a neat, clean, and professional appearance while representing the company.
  • Answering phones, taking messages, and managing communications.
  • Ordering and restocking office supplies.
  • Managing the databases and sorting/mail distribution.
  • Maintaining an organized office, including conference rooms and storage spaces.
  • Assisting in the preparation and breakdown of team meetings.
  • Organizing monthly team lunches and collaborating on holiday and corporate events.
  • Providing key/access for vendors.
  • Supporting the accounting team, including creating bank deposits, approving invoices, and managing vendor contracts.

Ad Hoc (5%)

Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling meetings, running errands, and assisting with personal scheduling for the CEO.

Experience (Required):

  • Experience or interest in real estate and property management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook without assistance.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality requirements and the ability to apply them.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and follow-up skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and initiative.
